Erin Sinclair Moa is Associate Trainer at Beth Cadwallader Equestrian. She started out with Beth when she was 8 years old and immediately established herself as a prodigy. She was successful at shows on whatever horse she could afford, and competed at Beth’s barn until she went away to college at 17. After college she got a job and began working for Beth part time, training horses and helping clients at busy shows where her unruffled manner and perceptive advice are major assets. A gifted athlete, Erin also coaches women’s softball.
She married Danny Moa, who had been a professional surfer, a few years ago and the couple has a two-year-old daughter who is already demonstrating her talents in both riding and surfing. Look out, world.
In addition to helping Beth, working at her day job and raising her daughter, Erin also has her own private clients whose horses she trains and competes in upper level jumpers. In photo at lower right she’s demonstrating another dimension of her athleticism: the golf cart phase of a fun “two-phase” jumper speed class at Earl Warren Show Grounds, Santa Barbara.
